Kickstarter is a great way to fund your projects. I knew about it a few months ago, and I though it was a great idea so when we needed some money to completed the postproduction for our short film Voice Over, I did not hesitate to go ahead and use this channel to ask for it, and so far it is working great, with the support of many people who trust in this project. I am sure that they are going to love it when it is done. Thanks to all of our backers!!!

Supe de esta página hace unos meses y pensé que era un agran idea así que cuando necesitamos dinero para completar la postproducción de Voice Over, no lo dudé y presentamos aquí nuestro proyecto. Por el momento está funcionando muy bien, gracias al apoyo de mucha gente que está confiando en nuestro cortometraje. Estoy convencido de que les va a encantar cuando lo vean terminado. I always have fun shooting but not many times I feel that I am shooting something that I will remember my whole life. Voice Over has been one of those occasions. I enjoyed every second, and the images and memories of this shoot will be on my head and heart the rest of my life.

I just want to thank all the crew for the fantastic work and good mood, and specially to my camera & lighting team; without them it would not been the same. Thamar, Luis, Alberto, Oscar, Tenesor, Jorge, Sergio and Claudio. Thanks you all!

Siempre disfruto rodando, pero son pocas las veces que he sentido con seguridad que un rodaje lo recordaría toda la vida. Voice Over ha sido una de estas ocasiones. He disfrutado cada instante y las imágenes y recuerdos de este rodaje las conservaré para siempre.

The best thing about living great moments is that later on, you can remember them many times. An example of that is the shooting of Basket Bronx. Many great people in that cast and crew, and very nice experiences to remember. We have put together a small making off of that project. We keep working hard to have many other amazing projects to remember.

Lo mejor de vivir grandes momentos es que después puedes recordarlos muchas veces. Un buen ejemplo de esto fue el rodaje de Basket Bronx, allá por 2008. Juntamos un grupo increible de actores y equipo y vivimos una experiencia única. Ahora hemos montado este pequeño video para recordarlo. Seguimos trabajando duro para construir muchos más momentos memorables.

A year ago the Icelandic Eyjafalla volcano truncated Moses dream of travelling to Spain to pick up the Notodofilmfist audience award. A year later, Moses has been able to fulfill his dream of travelling to Spain to deliver a prize of Notodofilmfest 2011. Moses has accomplished the 3 wishes he had when he was a young man, touching the Mediterranean Sea, seeing Picasso’s Guernica and eating a paella.

You can see in his eyes that the experience was incredible. And now?, Moses does not know what comes next: “I guess my dream now is that others fulfill theirs. Look… If this just happened to me, everithing is possible, right?”.

Hace aproximadamente un año el volcán Islandés Eyjafjalla trunco el sueño de Moses de viajar a España para recoger el premio del público del festival Notodofilmfest. Un año después, Moses a podido cumplir su sueño de viajar a España para entregar uno de los premios del Notodofilmfest 2011 . Moses ha cumplido los 3 deseos que tenía desde joven, tocar el Mar Mediterráneo, ver el Guernica de Picasso y comerse una paella.

Se puede ver en sus ojos que la experiencia ha sido increíble. ¿Y ahora que?, Moses no sabe que será lo siguiente: «Supongo que mi sueño ahora es que los démas cumplan los suyos. Mírame… Si esto acaba de pasar, todo es posible, ¿no?».

Another talent who has been working with The Rosete Brothers for a while is Jorge Lawerta. Jorge is an illustrator and a graphic designer with a unique style. He has worked for many companies in both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, putting his personal stamp to every single project that he undertakes. I attach this self-portrait, so if you cross with him on the street you will be able to greet him. I highly recommend taking a look of his website.

Otro de los fichajes estrella que lleva tiempo trabajando con los Hermanos Rosete es Jorge Lawerta. Jorge es ilustrador y diseñador con un estilo único. Ha trabajado para empresas de uno y otro lado del Atlántico poniendo su sello personal en todo proyecto que emprende. Adjunto su autoretrato para que le saludéis si os lo encontrais por la calle. Aaton Penelope is the first 35mm camera that can shoot in 2 perforations in 2’35: 1. This means a 50% saving in negative and lab cost, and makes shooting in 35mm even cheaper than 16mm. Penelope is a strong impetus forlovers of film fighting against the digital technology.

Cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema has completed the principal photography on The Fighter using Aaton Penelope cameras configured for 2-perf.

Aaton Penelope es la primera cámara que permite rodar 35mm  en 2 perforaciones en 2’35:1 nativo. Esto significa que con 300 mts / 1000 ft se pasaría de rodar 10 min a rodar casi 22 min, esto supone un ahorro significativo a la hora de rodar y revelar el negativo y es incluso más económico que rodar en 16mm. Penelope es un impulso fuerte para los amantes del celuloide que luchan en contra de la tecnología digital.

Our new project “Voice Over” has won the best short film production project award in “Almería en corto“ Film Festival: The jury value Voice Over for “the bold and ambitious production proposal from a fascinating screenplay to a very talented visual director as Martin Rosete”

We had the opportunity to meet great people during the Festival. Thanks to the organization and the jury for the prize and their treatment.

Nuestro nuevo proyecto “Voice Over” se ha alzado con el Premio al mejor proyecto de producción de cortometraje en el Festival “Almería en corto” 2010: El jurado ha valorado Voice Over por: “la atrevida y ambiciosa propuesta de producción a partir de un guión fascinante para un director con gran talento visual como es Martín Rosete”

Además tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a gente fantástica. Gracias a la organización y al jurado por el premio y por el trato recibido.

I know. The picture is not the best, but the happiness for everyone in Kamel Films is so huge, that I wanted to share the news with all of you. Last weekend, Jaime Cid and Maria Boix, producers of Kamel Films, went to the ceremony award of one of the most important film festivals in Spain: Gijon. There they met Koldo Zuazua, and together, they got the great news: Voice Over, our amazing project for next year won the Canal Plus Award what is a great support for us, and the first step to bring this movie to life.

The scrip is a master piece written by Luis Berdejo. One of the best presents that I ever got, but I don’t wanna tell you more about it now. We will have a lot of time to speak about it. Tons of illusion and work are waiting…

Lo sé. La foto no es lo mejor, pero la alegría para la gente de Kamel Films es tan grande, que quería compartirla con todos vosotros. El pasado fin de semana, Jaime Cid y María Boix, productores de Kamel Films, acudieron a la ceremonia de clausura de uno de los festivales más importantes del panorama español: Gijón. Allí se encontraron con Koldo Zuazua y juntos recibieron la gran noticia: nuestro proyecto para el año que viene, Voice Over, había ganado el Premio Proyecto Corto de Canal Plus, lo que realmente es un gran empujón para hacer que este corto vea la luz.

El guión es una obra de arte de Luis Berdejo y es uno de los mejores regalos que jamás me han dado, pero no daremos más detalles por ahora. Ya habrá tiempo de hablar del proyecto. Toneladas de ilusión y trabajo por delante…

This week I flew to New York to shoot again with my brother a TV pilot with Mikel Urmeneta and Iñaki Arizmendi. It was a lot of fun as you can see on the picture: Helicopters, cheerleaders, aircraft carrier, yachts and wonderful people. I love NY.

Esta semana volé a New York para rodar con mi hermano un piloto para un programa de televisión con Mikel Urmeneta e Iñaki Arizmendi. Lo pasamos fenomenal como se puede ver en la foto: helicópteros, animadoras, portaviones, yates y gente increíble. Me encanta Nueva York.
